Simple Spinach Lasagna Recipe

If you like to keep your weight in control then you have found a recipe that will fit in everything you ask for, and the more important thing is that this recipe is very delicious. This is simple lasagna that’s made from spinach and this way you can eliminate some of the excess meat in it and enjoy from the spinach. Now keep reading and enjoy from this recipe.

You will need:
Extra virgin olive oil (1 tablespoon)
Frozen chopped spinach (2 packages or 10 ounce)
Onion (1/2 large and chopped)
Dried oregano (1/2 teaspoon)
Dried basil (1/2 teaspoon)
2 cloves garlic, crushed
Spaghetti sauce (1 jar or 32 ounce)
Water (1 1/2 cups)
Non-fat cottage cheese (2 cups)
Mozzarella cheese (1 package or 8 ounce part skim and shredded)
Grated Parmesan cheese (1/4 cup)
Chopped fresh parsley (1/2 cup)
Salt (1 teaspoon)
Black pepper (1/8 teaspoon)
Egg (just 1)
Lasagna noodles (8 ounces)

How to do it:
You will need to preheat oven to 350 degrees F or to 175 degrees C, then you will need to bring a large pot over medium heat and in here sauté spinach, onion, oregano, basil and garlic in the olive oil. Pour in spaghetti sauce and water; simmer 20 minutes. In a large bowl mix cottage cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, pepper and egg. After this place a small amount of sauce in the bottom of a lasagna pan. Place 4 uncooked noodles on top of sauce and top with layer of sauce. Add 4 more noodles and layer with 1/2 sauce and 1/2 cheese mixture, noodles and repeat until all is layered, finishing with sauce. And once you have done all the things from before cover with foil and bake in a preheated oven for 55 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 15 minutes. Let sit 10 minutes and then serve.
