Simple Scone Recipe

When you are looking for something delicious to eat, and something that can be done in very few amount of time, then you can count on these scones to make you happy. This is a very easy recipe, just gather all the ingredients and enjoy from this delicious scones.

You will need:
All-purpose flour (2 cups)
Sugar (1/3 cup)
Baking powder (1/4 teaspoon)
Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
Unsalted butter (8 tablespoons)
Raisins (1/2 cup, dried or currants)
Sour cream (1/2 cup)
Egg (1 large)

How to do it:
For this recipe you will need first to adjust the oven rack in a lower-middle position and then preheat the oven to 400 degrees and then in a medium bowl you can add some mixing flour and 1/ยท cups of sugar, also baking powder, baking soda and salt, remember to grate the butter into flour mixture on the large holes of a box grater and use your fingers to work in the butter, once you have done this the mix should resemble a coarse meal and finally you can stir the raisins in it. Now in a small bowl you can add some sour cream and also the egg until the mix turns smooth, for the final steps take a for and stir the sour cream mixture into the flour until the large dough clumps are formed, now use your hands to press the dough against the bowl and into a ball, remember the dough will be sticky in some places and there may not seem to be enough liquid at first, but as you keep pressing then everything will come together. Now for the last step you need to place the dough in a lightly floured surface and place circles 7 to 8 inch size, then sprinkle the remaining sugar and use a sharp knife to cut into 8 triangles, and finally place the cookie sheet, preferably lined with parchment paper, and place them 1 inch apart, finally bake until they reach a golden color, this will happen in about 15 to 17 minutes, then you can serve or warm at the room temperature.
